Main duties:
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to create 2D and 3D models of mechanical components and systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Conduct tests and experiments on mechanical systems and components to assess their performance and functionality. This could involve setting up test equipment, recording data, and analyzing results.
- Assist in identifying and resolving issues or problems related to mechanical systems. You may investigate and diagnose problems in existing products or during the testing phase.
- Maintain accurate records of designs, test results, and other project-related documentation.
- Calibrate and maintain various mechanical testing equipment and tools to ensure accurate measurements and reliable results.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
Employment requirements:
- A minimum college diploma in mechanical engineering technology is required.
- 1-2 years of related work experience.
