Title of Position: Hairstyling Salon Manager
Terms of Employment:
Location of Work: Richmond, BC
Start Date: as soon as possible
Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
Work of Hours: 35-40 hours per week.
Wage: $ 36-38 CAD per hour, plus bonus and commission
Benefits & Vacation:
- 4% vacation pay calculated on a semi-monthly basis, based on gross earnings

Requirements:
- Education: Completion of College is required.
- Work Experience: 2 to 3 years of related working experience in hairstyling and salon operations
- Language: English
The main duties of a salon manager are as follows:
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.
- Establish or implement policies and procedures for staff
- Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair, straighten hair, blow dry hair, do keratin treatment.
- Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to color, frost or streak hair.
- Suggest hairstyle compatible with client’s physical features or determine style from client’s instructions and preferences.
- Apply hair extensions with various methods.
- Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair.
- Train other hairstylists, hairstylist apprentices and helpers.
- Plan and control budget and inventory
- Manage contracts for advertising or marketing strategies
- Address customers’ complaints or concerns
The successful candidate will be responsible for working conditions and physical capabilities and meet the following qualifications:
- Proven related experience required
- Additional experience or education is considered an asset
- Efficient interpersonal skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Flexible, reliable, and a strong team player
